L'Argent Fumé is an exercise in controlled combustion. Yuzu's electric brightness is taken apart and rebuilt around a veil of birch tar smoke — the result is a fragrance that feels simultaneously clean and deeply mysterious, metallic and organic. It is the scent of a chemist at work.
The breakthrough for L'Argent Fumé came from an unlikely source: the smoke of a wooden laboratory bench being repaired. The woody, slightly acrid note against the ambient citrus of our workroom became the creative prompt for what is now our most technically complex formula.
